This Month's Funny Advice
Some things are what they are." We Can Learn a lot from Noah These little lessons from Noah that you're about to read I found while browsing the web. It seems that there is no one to whom I can credit. I suppose we will just have to attribute yet another writing to Anonymous. I liked it enough to share it with you three here... besides, I had that old comic above lying around, and this seemed a perfect opportunity to finally use it. Lessons from Noah
Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something REALLY big. Don't listen to critics. Do what has to be done. Build on high ground. For safety's sake, travel in pairs. Two heads are better than one. Speed isn't always an advantage. The cheetahs were on board but... so were the snails. If you can't fight or flee, float! Take care of your animals as if they were the last ones on Earth. Don't forget that we're all in the same boat. When things get really deep, don't sit there and complain - shovel! Stay below deck during the storm. Remember that the ark was built by amateurs and the Titanic was built by professionals. If you have to start over, have a friend by your side. Remember that the woodpeckers INSIDE are often a bigger threat than the storm outside. Don't miss the boat. No matter how bleak it looks, there's always a rainbow on the horizon.
Peeks and TweaksThis month's Peeks and Tweaks is also a bit of a What's New. They still classify as "peeks" though, because there are aspects to these that have not yet arrived.
We'll soon be announcing Dr. Julia's Love Poems Set to Video! Uh, as you can tell, I haven't quite got the title down yet. That's how new this is. First, see this page so that you'll have a better understanding of what I'm talking about. Now, the Funny Love Poems Video will be similar, in that we will take all the same personal information that Dr. de Bergerac will set to beautiful prose, only this time it will be on VIDEO! And what will that video contain, you ask?
This video will have a play time of approximately 2 1/2 minutes and available on both DVD and download. This will be a very unique gift, to be sure... and much better than flowers and candy, no?
Online Stories for kids is available now only via paid subscription. A few of you, however, singed up early and were given the opportunity to subscribe for FREE - Congratulations on that! This qualifies as a PEEK in that the story is long from finished. Every week or so, a new chapter is added and sent directly to the subscriber. You can see and download some sample chapters here, but I'll fill you in on some of its contents now...
What's more, this qualifies as a peek in that once the story is completed there will be NO More Subscriptions Accepted! The story will be removed from the Online Stories for Kids page and placed for sale at a much higher price than the one time $10.00 sub fee it has now. Be sure to check it out, and if you know of someone that may enjoy it, please send them our way!
What's New On Advice with Dr. JuliaIf you're thinking "information overload", now you know how I feel! You do realize that Dr. Julia makes me do 93% of the work, don't you?If you follow me on Twiiter or are a Fan on Facebook you may have heard that I was having atrocious computer problems. I totally gave up trying to send out last month's ezine when my computer shut down and I lost my work for the third time. In essence, if I were to list the "new stuff" (that we were able to do in between computer crashes) it would be way too much! What you can do is browse through our What's New Section. Unfortunately, some articles, cartoons, and letters have already made their way off that page (it only lists 15 items). Because I am untrustworthy, please subscribe to the Humorous Advice Blog. Every time we add something new, you'll get an update. I really hate that you might have missed some of the new stuff we added! Really funny videos, great letters from visitors, and a few cartoons that were real doozies! Just subscribe to the Humorous Advice Blog through OUR RSS Feed, would you? It would relieve so much of my stress! Other Stuff
That's it for this issue of Behind the Scenes with Dr. Julia. Tune in next time for more of the same - only better, of course. And make sure you recommend Dr. Julia to all those individuals that desperately need help. Until next time, Lora and Dr. Julia Your Thoughts and Praise
