about this girl

We're taking bets. Will this Clam make his move or not?

We're taking bets. Will this Clam make his move or not?

Well see, there's this girl and there's nothing wrong with her that I know of. She seems to be perfect for me, but for some reason my heart isn't into the idea of making a move for her.

I don't understand how something that's so obvious to do is the one thing I don't want to do.

Don't get me wrong, I like her, but for some odd reason my heart doesn't feel it. What should I do?

Dearest Steven,

You shouldn't do anything, at least, not anything in particular.

What I mean is, so she's a nice girl, even a pretty girl. Any guy in his right mind would be happy to call her his own.

Well, maybe you're not in your right mind... just yet. Perhaps, given time, conversations, and chance meetings, something will spark (even ignite) within you.

Then again, maybe nothing will ever really click between the two of you.

There is no reason to feel obligated to "fall in love" with someone just because they seem a decent fellow.

However, if you keep finding yourself pondering all of this little lady's redeeming qualities, you may want to consider one of those moves of yours.

Sincerely,

Dr. Julia
