Chickens in the NEWS!
 It's no secret that chickens are feeling the current housing crunch. Many, due to rising unemployment rates, are forced to live in slums.
Those fortunate enough to find suitable housing and a decent landlord are often faced with the threat of eviction thanks to so called zoning laws.
Such is the case for the tenants of cooking sensation Paula Deen.
"Apparently, Ms. Deen's heart was in the right place," said Dr. Julia Chicken when asked to comment earlier today.
But Dr. Julia went on to say that Deen's unwillingness to fight for an individual's right to live where they want is what is called "chicken" in some circles of society.
"Chickens are finding it more and more difficult to find decent housing these days," continued Dr. Julia.
"It reminds me of the fact that we need the fervent George Bailey types to stand up against the Potters of the world. If for no other reason than to provide good, clean housing to hard working chickens."

Chickens in the NEWS!
In April of 2011 Pip Bantam Hen escaped from captivity in a desperate attempt to contact Dr. Julia.
Pip used the confusion of a tumultuous windstorm to her advantage. While everyone else was battening down the hatches, this Bantam flew the coop.
After two months on the lamb (who wished to remain anonymous), unable to reach a payphone, Pip was cornered and returned to the SPCA for questioning.
"This story really touched my heart," said Dr. Julia Chicken. "One of the problems with cell phones is that they made payphones less and less accessible to those who really need them."
