Cross That Bridge

by Anne
(Pa, USA)

Some Bridges in Life Come with a View!

Some Bridges in Life Come with a View!

Let's cross that bridge when we get to it. To me it means that you shouldn't stress out over every step of your journey in life.

"What ifs" and "what happens when..." can all be handled when and if they occur.

It seems that the origin of the saying is lost, but the phrase is found in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's The Golden Legend (1851).

I prefer Jimmy Buffett's version "we'll burn that bridge when we come to it"
