Funny Love Poem for a
Missing Tooth

by Liz Oakes

Dr. Julia has no problems with teeth... or funny love poems!

Dear Julia de Bergerac,

My husband and I have been married ten years. His passion is flying, and he teaches it part-time while working as a realtor the rest of the time.

But he just had a back tooth out and he is lamenting the loss of it. He wanted to save it, but before he could get to have the root canal done, it broke in half.

So, now he had it out and he is feeling sooooo sad!

Hope you can help me with a love poem, as I love him lots!

Thanks,
Liz

Dear Liz,

It took me some time to understand the importance that you and your husband place upon teeth. I personally, have seen no need for them. As a matter of fact, they would only get in the way.

What finally convinced me to come to your aide was the sheer devotion you expressed, albeit to teeth, and my $10.00 fee.

Your Funny Love Poem

Sincerely,

Dr. Julia de Chicken

Poem About My Toothless Hubby - LOL
by: Liz and Mahl

Dr Julia De Chicken

I am still laughing! I laughed so hard when I read it that I had tears running down my face!

When I showed my hubby Mahl he smiled, (first smile since he got his tooth out) then he laughed too. It started out as a little chuckle and turned into a full blown laugh!

Well done. He loved it.

Even when he read the bit about being sick in the head!

And I agreed! I still am laughing!

Well down Dr Julia de Chicken!

My version
by: AMK

Oh your mouth is like a red red rose
with a newly broken tooth.

Along came a dentist to play with his new bore
And to your over joyed relief, the tooth is there no more.

But it will take more than a dentist to get rid of me sweety :-)

She Knows!
by: Lora (admin)

Somehow, call it chicken intuition, Dr. Julia seems to know things about people... even those she's never even met!

I don't know how she does it.

Very happy that your little surprise for your husband was such a success!

Regards,
Lora

The Old 'roses are red'...
by: Dr. Julia Chicken

AMK,

You being from Norway, I would have expected a tad better than "roses are red".

Were you aware of Cyrano de Bergerac's notability in Norway?

...that terror of trifles from Norway to Aragon"

Roses are red
by: Anonymous

I will have you know that I quoted the original poem to my Norwegian girlfriend. She said that's what got her hooked on me.

We have been married now for 16 years :-) You see many Norwegians have never even heard of that poem before! She actually thought that I wrote it myself. Gufaw!!

ps: the link you posted just refers me back to your site?

LOL
by: Lora (admin)

Get out of town!

Isn't it great when people haven't heard the oldies?

I recently got my 10 year old son with the old, "Could you go in the refrigerator and get me a henweigh?"

"What's a henweigh?" he says.

Boy, did I laugh - ha ha ha!

BTW - The link was just to direct you to the actual location where Norway is mentioned as Cyrano's stumping grounds.
