So funny that you should bring this up. Just yesterday I was saying the very same thing.
I have an Old English Sheepdog that is very protective, yet still extremely friendly.
I have folks come and go around here, like repair guys, chimney sweeps, and so on, and my dog is absolutely fine with them - after she is through announcing their presence.
But there is a neighbor that stops by a couple times a month and my dog will not let this guy in the house! She sounds very scary, and we have to go outside to talk to him.
I don't know what it could be or why she says, "No way is this guy allowed in the house!" I do think he is a "nice" guy, but...
Maybe my dog knows something I don't, and I'm not one to argue with my best friend.

PS That is one cute pup in your photo!

don't discount your dogs senses...NEW by: Debbie, http://www.pedigreedpups.com
Dog are a lot smarter than we give them credit for - and being a master of body language they'll know someone's intent long before we ever will.
I hope to always enjoy the company of a fuzzy friend as long as I'm here ..... and if you happen to need more dog info maybe you'd like to check out:
This is soooo true. Dogs do possess a higher degree of intuition.

Second guessing itNEW by: Anonymous
This bothers me because I love dogs and I have my whole life in fact I have two dogs. The reason this bothers me is because I met up with a dog that doesn't like me for some reason. I put my palm up and let him sniff me and he snapped at me. This is something that has never happened to me before. Our friends got a new dog from the humane society and all they could tell her about it was that he was a runner. That dog would look at me and growl like he just hated me and I don't know why. I really irritated him for some reason. So that quote doesn't fit me because I think I'm a pretty nice person.
