A Place To Stay
My Dearest Dr Julia, My name is Farnsworth Fox. I am writing to you today because things are really bad due to the economy. I find myself down on my luck.
I need to get out of the rain and on top of that, there are these guys (wearing red coats and blowing horns) on horseback who chase me for a while and then they stop and have tea.
I need some rest and a warm environment for sure. I was wondering if you, in all of your wisdom and being the kind bird that you are... I just was thinking that if you might see your way clear to put me up for a couple of nights in the Hen House.
I am a quiet sleeper, and I am so sly with quiet that you will not even know that I am there. That is unless any of the other occupants make strange noises in their sleep.
So, if you could drop me a line and advise me as to the shortest route to get to your place; I would be ever thankful!
Dr. Julia has asked me to do her dirty work, I mean, address this particular question for her.
Her initial answer was for Farnsworth to "take a bus" (really she said hike), but Farnsworth is a subscriber (as luck would have it) so I feel he deserves some response.
I would like to set Farnsworth's plight before our children readers out there and see if they have any advice to offer this fox seeking shelter in these hard times.
Farnsworth, I hope you understand. It was either this or the "bus".

Dr. Julia will have to tell you all about the Hen House, but in my opinion, it would be better than staying under the deck. (Trust me on this.)

Aww...poor little fox! I would let you stay at my house, but I have two cats who may not appreciate that! You should stay at the zoo, they have places for you to sleep, clean up after you, and feed you every day. And, you can make other fox friends there! :-D
