The Book and it's cover

The cover says no way. The book became a movie. Yes way!
"Don't judge a book by it's cover" - not as old as you may think! Phrase first appeared in 1944-ish in a speech, it was used again a few years later in a Cary Grant movie (The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer).
Anyway, I find myself mentally busting out this saying every time somebody surprises me with something that really was unexpected.
I also use it when I am talking about the rock band KISS; I mean do you really think a world class, successful business man who gained his success in makeup and high heels is really an clown? Guess again!
Bottom line, don't prejudge because that is prejudice. Give the person a shot-
