Viola, Voila!

Voila! I mean, Viola... wait.... I'm confused.

Voila! I mean, Viola... wait.... I'm confused.

The French don't say "viola", which is a string instrument, they say "voila", which means "there it is". Big difference.

Dear Anonymous,

We must remember this grammatical rule, i before o except after v... when it's pronounced as w.

Really, if you think about it, who's more confused - We that misspell voila or the French who mispronounce the letter v?

In french, v is always pronounced v : voilĂ , violin, viol, voici, vivisection... they have the same "v".
